"...one year of restrictive intermediate punishment, a program that combines several different sanctions and has an emphasis on supervision by county probation officers.
"Kandel will be placed on house arrest in mid-November. After the 90 days are up, Kandel will serve the remaining nine months on probation.
"While serving his sentence, he is to have no teenagers in his home without permission from court officials.
"He is forbidden to consume alcohol or patronize any business or restaurant that serves alcohol."
This was a case of rich man's justice. He got a sweet deal from the judge, and he had the nerve to hide his face on his way out of the courthouse. I hope the families of the victims whack Kandel and Burke with a civil suit. That'll wipe the smirk off his face.

Here' an interesting twist. I work at TT and if you noticed, there was a correction in the paper in regards to the semantics of Kandel's arrest. Well, guess who called in to demand the retraction? None other than his wife, Marissa Burke. She was foaming at the mouth and threatening to sue after the paper wrote that he had been arrested. She insisted they correct it to say he was charged.
Well Marissa, that sure makes a huge difference when your husband is sniffing underage boys' underpants he bought them and getting them drunk at your own home.
