Ain't no party like an Office party... organized by Times-Shamrock

Coincidentally, news of this upcoming office convention appears in the Times-Tribune of Scranton. Tim Holmes, manager of Times-Shamrock's community newspaper operation is heading up plans for the party.

Yeah, you are right. Just because someone connected with the Times is volunteering for this, it must NOT be newsworthy. Don't the Lynetts serve on every major committee and board there is? I suppose any coverage of Health Care (BCBS), Medicine (CMC) or economic development (Chamber), is gratuitous, as well. Not to mention that an effort to bring hundreds, perhaps 1,000s to a dying city just may be newsworthy in some market, regardless to who is involved.

Not that we're defensive or anything....

I think you two ought to just go off and piss on each other. I'm not getting it. So what if Tim Holmes is the push behind it?
Did someone say it wasn't newsworthy? The newspaper is about more than just news. (See comics, horoscope, Dear Abby, etc., etc.) Maybe you ought to put out a rag all your own and just make it all facts and figures. Sounds like a real crowd-pleaser.

NEWSpaper is about more than just news...well, I read the newspaper for NEWS and sports. Don't get that from my shitty TT.
