Times-Shamrock M&A strategy makes CNN

CNN Money contributing writer Jeff Cox -- former editor of the Hazleton Standard-Speaker, a tipster reports -- wrote a piece for CNN's Web site about Times-Shamrock's domination of the news market in eastern Pennsylvania and how it mirrors national trends.

Key pharse in that story is the Citizens' Voice is the smaller daily in Wilkes-Barre. And will continue to be that way...

46 years old.......too young to go......this isnt going to be very nice of me.....but i can think of about ten other individuals in this biz that should have bought it before Jerry....and they would have richly deserved it...Jerry didnt.....so long Jerry...sometimes life isnt fair pal.......RIP!!!

Was Jerry Kellar Beale from Beale's Bites? If not, what happened to that blogger wannabe?

There was a note on the NEPA radio board about Beale that indicated it was not Jerry but someone else from the Danville area that worked in radio and tv in the market.
