The bad thing about writing those Knight Ridder-required editor's notes is that Matt Golas ends up congratulating himself way too much. Exhibit A: The follow-up note to yesterday's story about his old boss. "This paper jumped all over the story. Feet, hands, you name it." Blah, blah.
