Towanda editor to reader: Drop dead!

Towanda editor Ronald Hosie gets a little prickly when he responds to a letter from Orwell's Judy Russell, a reader who complained that a recent front page was filled not with Towanda news but with news from Scranton Times-Shamrock reporters. "I appreciate Mrs. Russell's point of view. But, if there is a perception that "local" is fading from The Review, that is not at all the case," Hosie writes. "The record needs clarification." A small-town daily filling page one with the equivalent of wire copy? Never! Read Hosie's lengthy reply – twice as long as the original letter.

You can't please everyone in Towanda.

The Citizens' Voice is also filled with Scranton news, and the readers have noticed. Get used to it Bradford County readers.

I guess I read a different column.

His numbers don't lie; there's lots of local news on page one.

Maybe he should have come right out and said, "hey retards, flip to page three if page one doesn't have enough "local" news for you."

Never met a reader who didn't understand the concept of the inside of the paper. I know, Towanda newsstand sales die if they don't have enough local news on page one.

Yawn.

Slow news day Mr. Nepa?

6:51 is a boring loser.

Someone from Towanda can actually read??????

To 6:51 p.m.:

I think the reader was trying to say was: If readers in Scranton woke up one morning and saw nothing but Towanda stories on the front -- would that make sense??? Readers would be annoyed.

Whether right or wrong, readers view their respective papers as their own.

Nothing wrong with having regional news, but the entire front page??

Most people in Bradford County are morons. Why else would they live there? That place is full of rattlesnakes and Republicans.
It's good for one thing though: if you want to set up a meth lab, you couldn't pick a better place.

As apposed to rattlesnakes and DEMOCRAT in the city.

WTF does "apposed" mean?

Oh wait, it means you are a moron.

It does mean that, too. Funny.

You actually make it appear really easy along with your presentation however I in finding this topic to be actually one thing that I think I
might by no means understand. It kind of feels too complex and
very vast for me. I'm having a look forward in your next publish,
I'll attempt to get the cling of it!
