Rich Connor of the TL: I can't print the bad word an anonymous friend called Hillary

Times Leader Editor Richard Connor writes he needs Hillary to be the Democratic nominee to fire him up about voting for McCain. She is also an "untamed shrew." Um. Well. Next week: Connor writes that Barack is clean and articulate.

What's Rich's logic here? It's faint praise for McCain for Rich to say the only way he can win is if Hillary runs against him.
I think Rich just wanted to name-drop as many Texas politicians as he could, and show that he still matters down there.

I had to click to see if he really called her an "untamed shrew." Doesn't he have anyone to read over his stuff and advise him about the way things are in this century? Hell... even last century?

I am by no means a Hillary fan (I may become a Democrat just to vote for Obama in the primary), but for a publisher to call her a shrew in print is amazing. Romenesko really needs to see this one.

This guy never stops amazing me with his ignorance and lack of writing skills. Besides being unorganized and poorly written, this column, like most others he writes, fails to make points quick enough. They just go on and on and on.
I'm also shocked (sarcasm) that an old, bald, white rich man from Texas hates Hillary. Absolutely Shocking.
This guy is a disgrace to journalism. Not just for his views, but his horrendous writing style. In the age of struggling newspapers, the last thing the TL needs is a man who has stripped away everything that was good about the paper and has entered in such crap. What a shame.

The Republican battle cry..."Keep her in it so we can win it!"

Irrational hatred of Hillary Clinton -- it's like nitrogen in the air.

Who told this guy he was capable of writing?
Nobody edits his work.
His columns always make me cringe.

He does not matter in Texas any more. don't know if he ever did. Call anyone at the Star Telegram and they will tell you he is a disgrace to that paper and a joke to all of Fort Worth. The only place he is important is in his own mind!
