The Times-Tribune goes inside the Scranton mayor's Clinton fundaiser

We know we're behind the curve on this, but Times-Tribune reporter Stacy Brown wrote an interesting first-person take on the high roller-only party Scranton Mayor Chris Doherty threw last week for the Clintons. Admission: $2,300 a head. The mayor invited Brown and his wife to the party, evidently the only reporter there.

He may have been the only reporter there but he wasn't the only one invited (Corbett was invited, among others). Besides, I hear Stacey and his wife ate and drank like horses.

Wrong on all counts.

Corbett wasn't there. If he was really invited, he would have been there. What else did he have going on, a poker night he couldn't miss? Plus I contest the comparison of a real reporter to a talk radio mouthpiece who runs a call-in show.

One reporter was invited. One reporter got in. Stacy rocks, Corbett sucks.

The article said something like The Times-Tribune was the only media invited. Wrong. Tony Rodham was on Corbett's show begging him to go to the event.
Call him what you want but he is a memeber of the MEDIA.
Corbett begged off because he was committed to attending a function at the U of S with his wife (who's a professor there). Honest injun.

Wait, some turd on another thread had a longwinded lambbasting of the TT for NOT writing about this event (or Bertie Ahern's problems.)
I guess he/she was just another poster with a magical, talking ass.

Any truth to the rumor that TS bigwigs have just returned from St. Thomas where they bought or are buying a paper?
