TL reporter Sheena Delazio writes a first-person piece about the martial arts

"Anyone who knows me will tell you there is no doubt about it: I’m Italian. The brains, the beauty and as of a few Sundays ago, the brawn (I just tooted my own horn)." Someone call Joe Pulitzer!

She came across as supremely snotty and arrogant in this piece

Lose the "I'm Italian so watch out" horseshit.

Yeah. Not sure what being Italian has to do with pretending to fight someone.

Wow...three gay men in their 40s must have posted the former comments. First person stories should have some element of fun...

And newspaper stories should have some element of interest.

Perhaps the TL can make Sheena their page 3 bikini girl next, since she appears to be one of the only TL women who isn't downright scary.

An obvious case of "I" strain.

"First person stories should have some element of fun... "
First person stories are what's killing journalism. People want to know what's happening in their communities, not whether some self-absorbed reporter took a class for fun.

Bingo!!! Someone FINALLY figured out what's killing newspapers. First person stories. Bravo. You'd better get that revelation out over the wire buddy. I'm sure it has nothing to do with dwindling ad sales.

I didn't say it was killing newspapers. I said it's killing journalism. Only a simpleton can't differentiate between the economic engine of newspapers and the product of journalism.
Dipshit!

At least she's hot.

Her favorite move is Repel the Tiger.

6:39...

I wish I was still in my 40's. Also I'm not gay but even if I were, do you think there's some sting to that feeble retort or reply or whatever the point of your comment is? Jeez, that's like schoolyard stuff. Yeah, okay, first person stories should have some element of fun, they should also have some kind of a point to them and not be written from some skewed ethnic angle that has zero to do with the point OR the fun.

5:49...point taken, but on a Monday here in the valley what do you except these papers to report on? I mean, the series is "What it's like," so why not have an "ethnic angle" just for some fun; the girl's proud of her ethnicity, so let her go. And to 6:39, only a gay man would write a comment to hide his idenity (HEALEY)....

True. Most of the anti-TL crap on this board comes from Healey. He says the same stuff in the newsroom then writes it on here.

can we get back to talking about how hot sheena is?

I want to marry her.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

That's not nice.

Anonymous said...

Oh, trust me, it's very nice...very nice indeeeeeeeed....
