CV: McCants, TL working on settlement

A cryptic story in this morning's Citizens' Voice reports that former TL ad boss Dee McCants is working on a settlement with the paper after it sued her for disclosing trade secrets to her new employer, Times Shamrock. Except that her lawyer says she's never worked for Times Shamrock. Huh? You would think that a TS newspaper could definitively report on whether a person has worked or is working TS.

  1. I think its pretty sad that TS got its hands caught in the cookie jar soliciting information from a previous TL boss and can't even fess up to employing her. It wasn't even like the TL went after TS for the information it got. Why deny or otherwise gloss over McCant's employment if there isn't some guilt behind the whole situation for TS?

  2. Is she or is she not currently working for TS?

    Can anyone confirm?

  3. And will someone explain why this woman was brought here from the midwest and fired within five months?

  4. Good question 4:23
Five months is not long at all. Could she have been that bad? Don't you think that she must have been accomplished or Connor would not have hired her?
    Who replaced her?
    Was someone already lined up?
Word is that the VP web chick is gone too. Didn't she just have a baby? Maybe a pattern here?

  5. the pattern is that connor doen't like strong women and despite his surface desire to appear diverse, he can't handle it when the diversity includes not agreeing with him,

  6. Interesting that Attorney Bob Ufberg claims McCants was never employed by Times-Shamrock when he is the Times-Shamrock labor attorney. Veddy interesting .....

  7. Could be "veddy" interesting but no one has stated yea or nea that she works at TS! Does she?? Does she drive to the TS office every day or not? Has she ever received a TS paycheck?? If she hasn't then she doesn't. It's not that complicated. Anyway, why would Connor and Company even care?

  8. Rich Connor has evidently backed away from his knee-jerk, badly informed and embarrassing law suit against this lady whose only real mistake was moving across the country because of his over-the-top promises. She's no small-timer. And, this story comes to a proper close within days of the TL settling with the much-disliked Alison. Mr. C's local investors have to be wondering what happened to their boy's "cool."

  10. I can say from working with her before that she'll drive the bus right over you if she thinks you can either drive the bus faster than her, or get in her way, or perhaps drive the bus better than her. She's personable and likable (very much so), but IMHO she absolutely lacks integrity. This doesn't surprise me one bit!!!
