Kim de Bourbon, editor of the Pocono Record, quit. Or was fired. Hard to tell. She will be joining Allison Walzer and Casey Jones in a new Audiotex venture based in Nanticoke.
Times Tribune's top story today is the Top 20 stories of the year...and their presentation goes from 20 to 16.... and that's it....Anybody else see that?

He's right, there's a scrollbar but it's clunky and doesn't work well, it's hard to get to the story you want.

We all know how these lists work -- if you get linked to some kind of "news of the weird" site, like the faceless dog in the frying pan -- a story that didn't even run on the front page, if I recall correctly -- you get lots of hits. It's got nothing to do with what's a top story.
Not to mention that the stories are poorly edited ("a pack a bubble gum" in #4??)
Typical Times Tribune, in other words, just kind of half-baked and half-assed and not well executed.

The top 10 NEPA stories of the year, for me, would include the Hugo Selenski trial, the casino boom, Hazleton's jihad against the furriners, the sale of the Times Leader and G-Mac's run through the Big East tourney. None of which are in the top 20 most-read stories.

Ok, so she's got a good face for newspaper work. What do either of those ad hominem (ad wominem) statements have to do with her abilities to edit the paper? I've seen reporters and editors at newspapers who could go one-on-one pictorially with Charlie Weiss.

5:35 and 4:32 make remarks unconnected to the story. No, they were not connected to her talents, but you could see it from there. And they aren't what I expect from people I assume are professionals in this business.
